'The Sir Peter Blake Trust aims to help New Zealanders make a positive difference for the planet through activities that encourage environmental awareness and action, and leadership development. The Trust wants to carry on Sir Peter's work and keep his spirit and values alive for future generations. Project Q is an ideal project for the Sir Peter Blake Trust to partner - its engagement of young leaders, the exploration and adventure of scientific investigation and its focus on making a difference is something that Sir Peter would be proud of.'
The Crown Research Institutes led by NIWA, have been actively supporting the research and development of Project Q as part of their ongoing support for science outreach and education, “NIWA has been a strong supporter of Project Q since the initiative started, we have contributed significantly to the program’s conceptual framework and we have made these contributions and will continue to do so because we believe that television is a key to enticing more children into science and the Q Team is a great vehicle for achieving this goal” Rick Pridmore, CEO NIWA.
The Vodafone New Zealand Foundation is a small charitable trust funded by Vodafone NZ www.vodafone.co.nz and the Vodafone Group Foundation www.vodafonefoundation.org. We make grants to charitable organisations and projects which help the people of NZ live fuller lives. And we’re passionate about enriching young people’s lives, taking care of the environment and backing programmes that improve everyone’s access to communications technology.
That’s why we’re supporting Project Q – in the hope that it will encourage young New Zealanders to get into science and technology, get out into our environment and make NZ a better place to be.

The Q format shows young people responding to issues that are real to them, asking questions, finding and challenging answers and considering the impact of different strategies on their lives Development of the project will undoubtedly enhance the learning and teaching of science in schools. It challenges stereotypes and provides a model of science that is accessible and relevant to all".
